Paddy has been adjusting well to life in our home. He’s getting used to being spoiled with love, attention, treats and canned food. Yesterday we took him out for the first off-leash and he and Doc ran around catching frisbees and balls and letting their energy out. It has been raining and snowing since Paddy got here, so during a break in the weather we were able to play outside. He loves playing ball, but doesn’t want to relinquish the ball to you after he has it. He’s very smart and picks things up quick, and although he hadn’t seen a frisbee since he came here, I don’t think it’ll be long until he’s catching them. He’s a jumper, so I can picture him jumping in the air to catch it. He also listens and pays attention. He has a few minor bad habits, but we are working on those. He does well in the house and is already housetrained and knows how to use the dog door. He is probably the most loving border collie that I’ve ever seen. 🙂
