After our last foster dog for the Border Collie Rescue of Northern California, Cody, we took a little break from fostering as we have a kitten who needed to grow up a bit first. A couple of our foster dogs had a predator instinct, so we were wary of having a dog like that around our kitten before she learned how escape and handle a dog. She now knows how to use the dog door to go out and is cautious around strange dogs and can stand up for herself.
This is Snowball, our Ragdoll mix kitten. 🙂
This is Flicka, our ninth foster dog. She is a four year old purebred red and white spayed female BC. She is a smooth coat BC and gets along well with people, dogs and cats. She does not get along well with horses or calves, thus the reason why she was relinquished to rescue by a ranching family.
She is a very loving girl and is a submissive dog. She loves nothing better than to spend time with people. She doesn’t seem to like to play much, but enjoys being a companion. She was used to being an outside dog living in a kennel and is enjoying being spoiled.
Flicka is a joy to have around. 🙂 She will be available for adoption through the Border Collie Rescue of Northern California this weekend.

Flicka is beautiful. My husband and I are currently awaited our new dog, a border collie rescue, named Cassidy. We can’t wait.
