It may still be winter, but I am definitely getting ready for warmer weather! Although, it is supposed to be in the low 70’s this weekend, so perhaps the warmer weather is NOW! 🙂
I decided to sew up this sundress with this awesome Marc Jacobs blue ombre panel fabric that I got from Fabric Mart. I used Simplicity 2176. This is the second time that I’ve used this pattern – the first being with a yellow and white polkadot silk/cotton voile. I had to make alterations with the bodice on that one. I’ve read the pattern reviews and everyone seems to love this pattern, so I tried it again for this dress and thought maybe I was having an off day when I made the yellow dress and was in a hurry. Nope. Once again, I had to alter the bodice. I guess it’s just me and my body. I was thinking about throwing this pattern out, but it’s just too cute. I guess if I ever make it again, I’ll just have to alter the bodice again…..
I’m still not too satisfied with the bodice on this dress, but it looks good when I have it on and is on comfortable, so I guess that’s all that matters, right? 🙂
