It’s always nice to get a sewing care package….

06/11/2013

I participated in my first sewing swap hosted by Kestrel Makes and was paired up with Natalie of a Modest Girl’s Sewing Adventures.  It was fun talking with Natalie and shopping and going through my stash to find fabrics that I hoped would suit her. You never know what kind of fabric anyone will like and actually sew with,so that’s a little bit nerveracking. I love to send gifts in the mail (and of course receive them!). 🙂

I was painting in my sewing studio most of the afternoon and was surprised when I went down to get the mail and find my package from Natalie.

She sent me some lovely pink polka dot fabric, some trim, a covered buckle set and some samples from her Avon business.  Now the wheels are turning in my head as I think of what I’m going to make with this!

Isn’t this fabric awesome? It appears to be a poly blend satin. I’m going to make a dress out of it, but not sure what pattern I will use.  Something that is drapey, I think.

I certainly can’t wait to do this again! And thank you, Natalie!
