June Fabric Finds

06/12/2013

June isn’t over, but I’m going to try to not buy any fabric for the rest of the month, so I think it’s safe to say that these are my finds for June!

One of my favorite things to buy is the mystery fabric bundle from Fabric Mart.  I have been sent silks and wools and glorious cottons in my past bundles.  Sometimes it is hit and miss… the one that I received yesterday was a hit!

One of my fabric fabrics is this black white rose print lace.  It is going to make such a nice overlay on something…. not sure what yet!

This floral indigo poly blend fabric is also quite nice.  Not sure what I will do with that either….

And then sometimes there are some misses….. This is some kind of knit….. not a fan of…..

And then there are the hits!  I LOVE this pastel plaid cotton! I think it’s going to make a cute retro dress. 🙂

And then there is the kismet fabric….

What is odd is that I had this in my “maybe later” list for a few months.  This tangerine cotton eyelet has embroidered butterflies on it and is a light voile weight shirtitng.  My MIL bought the yellow eyelet similar to this and got two dresses out four yards.  I think I have enough here to make myself a dress as well.  I don’t know why I didn’t buy it before as I have been coveting it for a while, but I’m kind of cheap and it seems like everything on Fabric Mart’s site goes on sale eventually…. and see?  I got it for a fraction of the price! 🙂

The main reason why I bought this bundle and made a purchase is because I had a gift card coupon that was expiring and because this fabric was marked down very cheaply for a “flash sale.”  And I think I did well for this haul.

I guess I better get to sewing before it turns cold and I no longer have need for pretty sundresses……

Happy Sewing, friends!
