Well, after being down for about a week or so due to technical difficulties, my new blog site is up and running!
I switched from the free site wordpress.com over to my self-hosted site on wordpress.org. It took me longer to do this than most folks as I transferred my domain and setup new web hosting, plus had to cancel prior domain mapping, wait for my transfer and propagation and set up new site redirecting….. Yeah, sounds a bit confusing….. but overall, it just means that my site was transferred and it’s now up and running! Special thanks to Sophie and her excellent walkthrough!
I am working on moving my followers on bloglovin and those who have subscribed via email. If you are following me via wordpress, you may have to click the “follow” button on the toolbar (if you’re logged in) to keep reading. I’m still doing a little tweakin’ to my site, but I have things pretty much the way I want it. Now I can get back to business!
I already have two new dresses to share with you as soon as I get some photos taken and I’m in the midst of pattern testings and getting ready for some blog tours as well as launching an exciting project in June! I’m thankful that I took the plunge and got things rollin’ over here before any of the above happened.
Let me know what you think!!!
As an FYI: I am on WordPress.org with web hosting by A Small Orange. I am running on the Genesis framework with a gorgeous theme by Restored 316 designs. I made my graphics myself. If you want any help or info, just let me know I will steer you in the right direction!

Looks great!! I got here via Bloglovin with no trouble at all 🙂

Thanks, Kelly! That’s good to know! Bloglovin told me that it wasn’t done redirecting from the old site, so I had to wait until that had finished until they moved my followers. I will go tell them that it’s done. 🙂

Great new site! FYI – the rss feed on the wordpress.com reader truncates; which is ok with me, since the titles link right to your blog. 🙂

Thanks, Cathy! I hope that’s a good thing! Lol 🙂 I don’t know much about rss!

Thank you, Mary!

Is there any chance that your posts won’t be truncated when viewed in an rss reader like Feedly?
tanyamaile says
Not sure, but my theme/framework are set up to work with most everything. I will check that out though!

Up and running just fine on feedly. 🙂
