Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas shared with those you love.
For me, I’m enjoying a Christmas of traditions with my family. We have a cocktail and hors d’oevres party on Christmas Eve and each open one present. On Christmas day, my husband and I open gifts early in the morning with my parents and then have Christmas Brunch at my grandma’s house with the rest of the family. I’ll be making different quiches, linguica, and beignets. Later in the day we have Christmas Dinner at my grandma’s and my mom will be roasting prime rib and I’ll be making assorted side dishes and desserts. I’ve been making Christmas cookies and giving them as gifts (while keeping my Scottish Shortbread for myself…).
I also started what I hope to be a new tradition of making tamales. A friend showed me to how make them a few years ago and I decided to try them myself instead of buying them. I’m really excited by those (as I write this, I’m getting ready to make them) as they will be filled with fire roasted Anaheim and poblano peppers and Oaxaca cheese. Mmmmm…. I’m salivating at the thought….

Merry Christmas, Tanya! We make chili dogs on Christmas Eve (I NEVER eat hot dogs the rest of the year). Your tamales sound delish!!!

Merry Christmas to you and Brian and your family. Such a lovely photo of you both. The food sounds amazing, especially the tamales. Much better than the traditional turkey here, so bland. Have a great time. Xxxx
