It’s always nice to get a sewing care package….

06/11/2013

I participated in my first sewing swap hosted by Kestrel Makes and was paired up with Natalie of a Modest Girl’s Sewing Adventures.  It was fun talking with Natalie and shopping and going through my stash to find fabrics that I hoped would suit her. You never know what kind of fabric anyone will like […]

Meet our new foster dog, Sophie!

06/9/2013

This is our beautiful new girl, Sophie. 🙂 She is a 1 1/2 year old female Border Collie with a beautiful rough coat.  She is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve ever had and loves to cuddle and give kisses. She also has a very strong herding instinct, so we are being very particular about […]

Getting Our Veggies in for the Summer!

06/6/2013

So, it’s been over a week (almost two) now that I finally got around to planting my vegetable garden.  At least I got it in when the temps were cool and it wasn’t blazin’ hot, like it is at the moment.  I don’t have my irrigation all set up yet, so I’ve been watering it […]

Inheriting Grandma’s Notions

Checking In

05/19/2013

I have been a bit AWOL from here. Truth is, I didn’t really want to post until I shared some photos of my new dresses, but unfortunately, my camera decided to quit on me while we were on vacation. My wonderful husband just got me a new one for my birthday, so I’m back in […]

Sewing Up a Storm!

04/29/2013

I have been so busy sewing lately that my husband calls my sewing studio a sweatshop!  We are leaving on a trip this week and I spent the last week and a half sewing from about 9-5 with a break at noon.  I usually only sew in the afternoons (from about 12;30-5) as I leave […]

The other day, we picked up our new foster for the Border Collie Rescue of Northern California. We named her Poppy.
